OBI has unveiled a new smartphone for India, dubbed as Hornbill S551. It is listed in various e-commerce online website with a price Rs 9230.
At 7.9 mm thin body, the OBI S551 Hornbill packs a 2200mAH battery and runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2 OS. Further it boasts a MediaTek MT6582 1.3GHz Quad-core processor, and coupled with 1GB of RAM. The phone also includes 8GB of internal storage, that is expandable using an external microSD card (up to 32GB).
Supported by Dual SIM slot (WCDMA+WCDMA) with dual standby, the Hornbill S551 measures 156 x 76.8 x 7.9 mm dimensions, along with a weight of 145 gms. The battery is rated for up to 8 hrs of talk-time and 200 hrs of standby time. The phablet features a 5.5-inch TFT IPS HD (1280×720 pixels) Capacitive touch screen display.
The OBI Hornbill S551 houses a 13MP rear camera with auto-focus and also a 5-megapixel front camera onboard for selfies. Connectivity options included by the handset are 3G, 3.5mm Audio Jack, FOTA, FM Radio, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi-IEEE 802.11 b/g/n and USB (Micro USB port 2.0).
