Chinese Jiayu S3 smartphone has been announced in China for only 999 Yuan (about 162 USD or Rs. 10,000), which will go for sell in the country from early January.
The main highlights of the Jiayu S3 are 4G LTE, 64-bit Mediatek SoC and 3GB RAM. Jiayu has also confirmed its variant model with 2GB RAM, and cost will be 899 Yuan (roughly 146 USD or Rs 9,000), but without NFC.
The Jiayu S3 offers a big 5.5-inch 1080p display and also supports dual SIM with dual standby functionality. It houses a 13 mega-pixel Sony IMX214 rear camera with dual flash and packs a 3000mAh battery. JiaYu also promises for accurate and fast GPS. Audio hardware has promised with dual speakers. It will run Android 4.4 Kitkat OS.
The S3 comes with 16GB on board storage and also has an expansion slot. With a 8.9mm thick body, its whole dimension is 152 x 75.5 x 8.9mm.
Still some details are missing and will revealed by the company at the time of actual launch in China.
