You need to first flash the modem to use another network provider sim. Virgin mobile broadband E3131 Huawei hi link modem comes with Firmware version 21.158.00.00.261 and which is customised. It does not accept the unlock code directly.
Step by step guide to unlock Virgin Mobile Broadband E3131 Huawei New Algo Hi Link Modem Dongle Free Instructions via Firmware Upgrade process :
- Download the unlocked firmware update file and CardLock unlock tool from the download link which is provided at the end of the article.
- Now disconnect from the internet and close everything which is related to your modem.
- Now unzip the file and run the firmware update file.
- Now provide the flash code as password and wait till finish the process.
- Now after successfully finished the process eject the Virgin Mobile Broadband E3131 Huawei New Algo Hi Link Modem Dongle modem from PC and again insert in PC.
- Now if dashboard starts running the close it.
- Now run the CardLock unlock tool and detect your modem.
- Now click on unlock and when it ask for password provide the unlock code as password and click on OK.
- Now dance around the room, your modem has been successfully unlocked.
