Lava is set set to launch a new budget smartphone in India. The smartphone is listed in the company website without pricing and availability details yet.
The dual-SIM Lava Iris 401 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and also comes with a 4-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) TFT-LCD display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor, coupled with only 256MB of RAM. It packs 512MB of built-in storage, and can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).
The Iris 401 houses a 3-megapixel rear camera, and also a VGA front-facing camera onboard. Connectivity options included are GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, Bluetooth v3.0, and a 3.5mm audio jack. According to the official listing, there is no word about 3G and FM Radio.
Powered by a 1450mAh battery, the Lava Iris 401 is rated to deliver up to 9 hours and 40 minutes of talk time on 2G. The smartphone measures 126x65x10.35mm, however, there is no word about its weight.
