Airtel has launched in India different firmware modems which list is below. The below mentioned procedure will work with E173Cs-1 Airtel India modems these firmware versions:
21.157.31.00.1043 (Build: Apr 23 2012 12:02:27)
21.157.31.00.284 (Build: Mar 17 2012 12:15:53)
21.157.13.00.284 (Build: Feb 16 2012 11:05:38)
Step by step guide to unlock Huawei E173Cs-1 Airtel India Free :
- Users need to download the firmware from the link which is provided at the end of the article.
- After downloading the said firmware extract it using winrar software and launch “DriverSetup.exe“.
- Now Click “Start”.
Now this wizard will detect your modem and will ask for firmware code. (Generate the flash code from this tool)
Enter the generated flash code in Password box and click on OK. (Note : Do not disconnect modem or turn off computer – you can damage modem.)
Wait till drivers fully install in your computer and modem and this message below (Please wait..configuring software) disappear. After message disappears, restart your computer.
Now remove SIM card from modem and launch DC-Unlocker client software.
Open Server tab, enter your username and password that you received after credits purchase. Click “Check login”. (you can buy credits here www.dc-unlocker.com/buy). If DC-Unlocker/Vygis/Rocker/Infinity dongle is connected, do not enter username and password, only click “Check login”.
Select manufacturer as Huawei modems, model leave Auto detect (recommended).Press “Detect” button (Big magnifying search glass).
Wait till DC-Unlocker fully detects modem.
Open Unlock tab, select “Read unlock code and auto enter to modem”.
Click on “Do job”.
Wait till you see a message that modem is unlocked.
After you see that unlock is successful, restart your modem and enjoy. Now, just create a new profile as per your network provider and surf the internet.
